What a coat of paint will do

Somehow our customizations for the home were lost in how long it took us to buy one and that we got ours from Champion instead of Skyline. However, our General Contractor at All American Modular has been a champ and helped us get everything painted. Walls, Cabinets… everything!

Here’s a before and after shot

a Kitchen with tan walls and pine cabinets
a Kitchen with grey walls and blue cabinets

The cabinets are less blue in person.

Put together the dry wall

Also, I forgot to take pictures, but you can no longer tell the two sides apart. A guy came on Tuesday and dry walled it all in about 1 day. It was amazing how just putting up trim and corners on rooms made it feel so much more like a home!

Every well needs a permit

Earlier in the week I had to go to the County to get an electric agriculture well permit. For any who may need that in the future here are the 3 items you need

This will get you a permit for an electric well. In my case I need a separate meter for my well, so I also need a 2nd address. With all that and the inspection completed, I should be able to get power to my well.

Finishing up some loose ends (septic and stairs)

We are still working in earnest on the stairs. I forgot to get a picture of today’s stairs, so here is what else we did today:

Amerigas truck delivering a 250gal tank

Also, I needed to go under the house to hook up my septic without any flexible fittings. There is an ABS to PVC glue that can be used.

Broken ABS pipe

Someone followed me under there to help… or breath on me…

There is a lot more to update on, but it has taken all week to get this far and I’m afraid I don’t have the energy to write it all. Perhaps next week! Thanks for reading!
